Knots of Freedom Bracelet
A Symbol of Courage, Perseverance, and Hope
The Knots of Freedom Bracelet was inspired by Tho Tho’s extraordinary journey to freedom—a story of quiet determination, resilience, and hope built one small knot at a time.
As the eldest of seven children, Tho Tho left home believing she had found an opportunity to help support her family. Instead, she was trafficked and forced into servitude far from home.
But even in captivity, she refused to give up.
Over time, Tho Tho secretly gathered scraps of cloth, twisting and tying them into a rope of knots. One knot at a time, she quietly prepared for the chance to escape. Then one night, while her captors slept, she climbed down from a balcony using the rope she had carefully made—running through the darkness until she finally reached safety.
The knot-inspired design of this bracelet honors that remarkable courage and perseverance. It serves as a reminder that freedom is often built through small acts of bravery, unwavering hope, and the determination to keep moving forward even in the darkest moments.
